  • If the Tines are demons, then Neville Scranton is the devil himself. A brilliant tactician, skilled swordsman and life-long criminal, Neville has terrorized the Caribbean for years, striking seemingly at random, distrupting trade and eluding the authorities. No crime was too evil, no sin too debaucherous for Captain Neville, and his lack of morals made him the most successful pirate of all. Some unknown link to Christopher's father led Neville to track the man down and murder him and his entire family, save for Christopher. Neville and the Tines disappeared after the great quake, and no one has seen him since.
