irony does not compute -
I am a conservative with no party affiliation. I have voted Republican and Democrat but am not proud of the latter. I hold to the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and to the Rule of Law. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Saviour and I will freely quote the Bible in whatever measure I feel is needed in answering questions here on Quora and elsewhere. If that is a problem then don’t ask my opinion. I am not perfect but strive to be what Jesus wants from me. I might have a misstep or two here and there but that is my problem, not His.
I will converse with anyone on any topic unless that person gets belligerent then I will not continue. That doesn’t make them in the right and me in the wrong, I just won’t continue to be bullied or talked over. I have lived too long to endure disrespect. If that is a problem for you then that is your problem, not mine.
I believe in fairness and equality, not racism or class warfare. Let the best person for the job prevail, regardless. I also believe in “lawful assembly, but not vandalism and rioting in the name of peaceful protests. I believe that everyone is responsible for their own actions. Obey the law, do as you are told. If you resist then be prepared to suffer the consequences of your actions.
I enjoy cooking, auto repair, woodworking, and especially building my own desktop computers. Laptop computers are too tedious and less malleable so I purchase them and upgrade as I see fit. I am not college educated but the School of Hardknocks has been a thorough teacher. I lean hard on spell check and grammar check. I try to do the best I can to convey my thoughts on any given topic but at 61 years old, I will admit that sometimes I might get a little confused. My thoughts have a habit of outpacing my typing skills. Having had COVID-19 last February has left me with a little “brain fog,” as well as ongoing fatigue issues. I guess I am known as a “longhauler.”
I am a blue collar worker and have been steadily employed for 38 years at the same place, doing many jobs under the same business name and as such, I have learned many lessons in the workplace. One item I can tell you is that there are many in management who don’t deserve to be there and are not qualified to be filling the positions they are in. Many decisions have been made from ego rather than sound business practices. Competition makes people do bad things, such as steal credit for a task when it was not earned, backstab and denigrate where it is not deserved, etc.
We might agree on many topics but don’t expect me to cave in on core issues such as the 2 Amendment, Pro-life, or sound fiscal responsibility. I will protect myself, my wife, and anyone under my care. Abortion is murder in each and every circumstance.
Don’t spend more than you earn. You may have to shuffle finances around to meet that goal but at the end of the month, let you budget sheet be balanced. Pay your tithes, and save where and when you can. Automatic deductions to your savings account is a wonderful invention. Invest wisely and prudently. Always pay off your credit card at the end of the month. Mind your credit report. “Be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
Anything else you would like to know about me, just ask.
